Power of Parenting (POP) was founded by Paul and Samantha Adams in 2016. After Paul’s early retirement from the Met Police and with Samantha finding some additional time amidst her responsibilities as a mother to their four children, they set out to make a meaningful difference for local foster children.
With their children's support, who were ready to play an active role in the fostering journey, Paul and Samantha trained and became certified foster carers for Bracknell Forest Council in 2012. Since then, they have profoundly impacted several young lives—a purpose they find both fulfilling and deeply rewarding. Their hope is to inspire others to get involved, as an increase in support and foster carers could transform countless young lives.
Now, several years later, POP has grown beyond their original vision. With the help of an expanded board of trustees, the organisation is poised to take its next steps, creating an even greater impact in the lives of vulnerable children.
